Obama's decision wasn't surprising - in his State of the Union speech, he dedicated prime space to hyping nuclear power - and on Tuesday, Feb. 16, he reiterated the need for a "new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in America." His proposed budget, released at the start of the month, would triple existing loan guarantees for new nuclear plants. Athens has scrambled to calm jittery investors and skeptical European Union partners that it can clean up its mess without any assistance. ...more of President Obama's interviews I read, the more I respect him for his integrity and class. He has been in office just a year but is widely expected to clean up the mess it took the Bush Administration eight years to create. And he has to do it while dealing with some of the worst partisanship I can recall in recent history. Anyone who remembers Economics 101 knows unemployment is the hardest and last problem to be solved. Give the President a break...
