Harvard started the scoring in the second inning. McLaughlin reached first when Mahoney dropped a fly. He was sacrificed to second by Clifford and came home on a hit by Kelly. Hann then got a pretty two-bagger to centre field but was out at the plate when he tried to come home on a single by Reeves.
