...Southboro', Saturday afternoon, the freshmen met and defeated the representatives of St. Mark's school. The game was a close one, although marked by numerous errors, which latter were about evenly divided, for the freshmen did not play their usual good game. St. Marks made three runs almost entirely throught Ninety's errors, not one of their six runs being earned. Kielty pitched the first part of the game, after which Sabin was put in. Kielty pitched a good game, and struck out eight men. Young caught both pitchers, and played a perfect game behind the bat. St. Marks...

...class races are over at last and the nervous tension that prevaded a large part of the college community for the past week has ceased to be felt. The crews rowed a very close and exciting race and surprised even the best informed by the order in which they pulled across the finish. We wish to congratulate '87 on her well-earned success, as by winning this race she placed the victor's wreath on her head which will be remembered long after the members of the present seniors are scattered in the four corners of the world...

...speaking in competition of the Boylston Prizes last evening was interesting and the contest was certainly a close one. Notwithstanding the fact that the award of prizes excited the annual comment it was an eminently fair one. When consideration is given to the basis upon which the award of prizes was evidently made no other bestowal of the prizes could have been just. Natural ness was without question the most notable and most admirable in these speakers who met the approval of the gentlemen who acted as judges. Mr. Page and Mr. Knowles certainly spoke in a manner worthy...
