...last practice of the basketball team before the game with Yale tomorrow evening was held in the Gymnasium last evening. Although the team has failed to develop the fast and smooth team play which might be expected at the close of the season, the work last night showed considerable improvement over the crude playing in the early part of the week. The men pass fairly well, the chiefs faults in this particular being a tendency to neglect chances for long, open throws. This fault often serves to give the opposing team time to cover thoroughly before the ball reaches...

...Sophomore hockey team won the interclass championship on Saturday afternoon by defeating the Juniors in a spirited game on the Holmes Field rink by the score of 2 goals to 1. The game, as the score shows, was very close and exciting, but was marred by the distinctly rough play of both sides. Neither team played well together and both lost many good chances for easy goals. Aertsen and Egan played the best game for the Sophomores; for the Juniors; Marshall...

Owing to the fact that there has been little opportunity for practice, the teamwork on both sides was poor, and the play, although hard, was very ragged. The Sophomores shot much better than their opponents, and also had the advantage of somewhat better team play...

...touch the ball, and in this should be valuable tonight. Linehan, at right forward, passes well and is a fairly good shot at goal, although during the past two weeks his ability has greatly deteriorated off in this respect. His tendency is to fumble the ball and stay too close to his opponent, who thereby is able to prevent his shooting for goal. Henderson, at left forward, although handicapped by lack of weight, plays a fast, effective game. His fault seems to be an inability to see quickly advantageous chances for shots at goals...
