...seems apparent therefore that unless the Glee Club is more willing in the future to recognize this taste among graduates, a taste that also exists among other undergraduates, it is indeed doomed to joint programs and dwindling, however sophisticated, audiences. The educational program that Dr. Davison has so nobly pushed ahead is indeed a commendable step, but if the public is still to be drawn in anticipation of collegiate glee, a compromise must be forthcoming...

...Pierian Sodality this year under the direction of G. Wallace Woodworth '24, also assistant conductor of the Harvard Glee Club and a conductor of the Radcliffe choral Society, is under a new policy of management, and an interesting series of concerts is being booked at the present time. Four Massachusetts members of this year's entering class have been awarded scholarships of $400 each by the Harvard Club of Boston. The Harvard Club awards scholarships annually to Freshmen of the University living within a limited radius of the Boston State House. The awards also stipulate that the recipients be graduates of public schools within the limited radius. The holders of the scholarships for the academic year 1929-30 are R. J. Coss '33 of Saugus High School; Benjamin Lelyveld '33 of Rockland High School; C. U. Stevens '33 of Melrose High School; and D. M. Sullivan...
