Despite the handicaps which he had to overcome, the University coach has whipped his men into a formidable team. Players have been unable to practice regularly because of military and academic engagements. It was suggested that the players be allowed to practice football instead of attending one of the drill periods for the remaining few weeks of the football season, but the military officials would not allow it, although the naval leaders had no objection to the plan. For the sake of consistency neither unit gave the players time off and the members of the team had to practice...
