Gould, in the meantime, went to third, and scored on Cobb's fumble of the throw to the plate. Highlands stepped up and lined out a two bagger, greatly to the surprise of the Amherst men. He took third on a well lined sacrifice by Cobb, and scored the winning run, as Sullivan let Mason's bat grounder through his hands...
