Such a change as this would revolutionize the game of football, and, in the opinion of former Coach Percy D. Haughton, Dean Briggs, chairman of the athletic committee, and Walter Camp, noted sporting writer, it would be a welcome improvement. These men, together with Mr. Coffin, believe that this change would stop the extreme variation in number of plays in every game, which is neither fair nor scientific. And it would also prevent teams from playing against time to maintain a small lead, a practice which has caused much trouble in the past...
