These are the people who are taking the MBTA to court; the vocal citizens, the long-time residents, well-off enough to take the time to fight the MBTA. On the other side of the coin are those who don't own cars or run businesses in Cambridge. There is a housing project near the proposed Alewife terminus. During the Wimbledon tennis matches, one of the most popular meeting places for the American players and their wives was a coin laundry just off trendy Carnaby Street. FRANCE Flights into Paris' Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports were delayed an average of 16 hours, and many were held up for two days. Airport cafes and bars ran low on food and drink. Pharmacies had a run on inflatable cushions. Telephone coin boxes became so full that they jammed. At one point, Royal Air Maroc canceled flights.
