Scrappy Fight. The Polish connection, as Gilligan calls it, was made in the strictest secrecy. Two weeks ago, the Governor slipped out of Columbus and flew to Manchester, N.H., where he headed for the home of Maria Carrier, a Muskie campaign worker.
