Those who use city libraries like the Boston Athenaeum, often live at so great a distance, that it would be quite inconvenient to renew a book in this way; but here the distances are so short that no one would have a right to complain. ...order of the Final Examinations was posted on the 1st of April; hence no one can complain that sufficient notice has not been given of them this year. Beyond what satisfaction there is in knowing exactly when one is to be tortured, we cannot, however, see how this early announcement will make preparation materially easier. It is useless to attempt to take time needed for term work or for recreation in order to prepare for examinations to come in two months, or even in one month.
