Judge Lance Ito was watching all of his clocks today. He pushed the attorneys to speed it up, at one point giving defense lawyer Johnnie Cochran "sixty seconds" to make a complaint, and he ejected two spectators for talking. Ito also announced that the lunch break would be reduced from 90 to 60 minutes. The renewed vigor followed atwo-day break during which Ito interviewed unhappy jurors.
