While I by no means condone the actions of the Panamanians, I must confess to a wry amusement that the U.S. tenure of the Panama Canal Zone is being challenged by the locals [Dec. 7]. The Egyptians, on doing the same not long since, were stoutly supported by the albeit unseen Sixth Fleet.
