ITHACA, N.Y., Oct. 12--A veteran Cornell soccer squad will be a slight underdog when it meets a confident, tight Crimson outfit at 11:30 tomorrow morning on the Upper Alumni Field.
A rested, yet well-honed Crimson soccer squad takes the field against under-dog Amherst this afternoon at 3 p.m. on the Business School field. The Lord Jeffs are expected to provide merely adequate competition for the confident Crimson eleven.
Although Amherst is relatively unknown in soccer play this year, Munro is expecting to meet a solid team, well-versed in the fundamentals--a factor which decides many early-season matches. Confident from their first match, the co-champions of the Ivy League last year are in excellent physical shape...
