...feeling is that the print media has created a lot of the frenzy [over ratings] by overcovering them. When I see the New York Times print the top ten shows every week, I kind of chuckle. Right next to the list is [Critic] John O'Connor asking why can't we be more like the BBC and public television. I chuckle because I think it's very hypocritical.
