...basket-throwing in the preliminary round of the contest yesterday afternoon for the silver trophy offered by the University basketball management was very poor, only eight of the forty-three contestants throwing three baskets or over out of the ten possible chances. Six men tied with a score of two successful throws and as a result fourteen men were retained for the final round tonight. In the early part of April the regular class championship games will be held and a week later the annual University games will take place.
