...Princeton men are far from satisfied with the work of their team in both the Harvard and Yale games-particularly in the Yale contest. I have yet to learn that there is any dissatisfaction with John H. Rush, the coach. It may be premature, but none the less the prediction may be hazarded that every Princetonian who can see beyond his nose-in other words, the great bulk of the student and alumni body-will back Nassau's football instructor whole-heartedly. They will back him because of the conviction-which is by no means confined to Princeton men-that...

...defence for the University, and F. C. Dimond '19 and R. C. Cooke '18 have shown up as the strongest factors of the attack. Both are good shots and follow the ball closely. The University team defeated the Springfield team that beat Dartmouth but later lost to Pennsylvania. The contest today should be very close, with the advantage slightly in favor of the University...

Colgate eliminated Brown from any claim to the Eastern football championship by scoring a decisive 28-to-0 victory against the Providence eleven in yesterday's game. With a remarkable season's record of victories, Brown entered the contest confident of a win, but in no department of the game did the losers equal the Colgate team. Pollard, whose wonderful work against the University and Yale stamped him as one of the greatest backs in the game, was ineffective on a slippery field, and at no time proved dangerous. The Colgate eleven displayed a bewildering assortment of trick plays...

...Harvard has celebrated victories over Yale. Last Saturday was the first time under Haughton's regime that the Blue eleven has been able to cross our goal line. Such a series of glorious conquests must not be forgotten at a time of temporary defeat. Yale won a close, fiercely-contested battle and won with a superior football machine. Every gridiron contest is decided to a greater or less degree by the so-called breaks of the game. The advantages of this character certainly were with the Blue, combined with these was a well-trained, powerful unit--the combination which spelled...

...opening of the second half saw a punting contest between Horween and Legore with the honors about equally divided, and finally a second Yale rush to the Crimson goal. Legore made 25 yards around right end, the University was penalized five yards for being off-side, and a pass, Legore to Gates, netted 14 more, placing the ball on the University's seven-yard line. Yale could not advance, however, and before Legore could throw an attempted pass on fourth down, G. C. Caner '17 broke through and ran him back ten yards, giving the University the ball...
