Purely as a matter of record and wholly in the spirit of the game, The Literary Digest guaranteed the American expenses of the Cambridge Rugby Team during its visit to the United States [TIME, April 16]. Marshall Field was a generous contributor in as much as he entertained the team and others at dinner. Fortunately there was no "angel" as the receipts from the games and the courtesy of the various hosts not only met the American expenses but paid the advances Cambridge made.
