Sixteen years later, in February, 1827, Cornelius Conway Felton, '27, together with two other seniors, started the Harvard Register. During the vacation Conway R. Brown, of the freshman class, while laboring under temporary aberration of the mind, shot himself dead at the house of a friend whom he was visiting in Providence. The deceased was a son of Henry W. Brown of Worcester. He traveled for several years in Europe and was an attendant at the German schools, but prepared for college at Exeter Academy.
