Parents should do these things to make their child a better student: turn off the television. Fill every room (yes, even the bathroom) with books, magazines and newspapers. Play, read, cook, read, travel, read and then read some more with your kids. If reading becomes the primary form of entertainment in the home, youngsters will turn to books.
