All Lampy's bombs, jeers, kicks, jokes (?), beer, cheers, and bean blowers were of no avail before the cool experts of the pride of American journalism. Nothing could overtax the nerve of the men who had braved the terrors of Memorial Hall's fishballs. He is also cool and skillful in drop-kicking goals though sometimes slow in getting the ball away. Kernan, so far this season, has played a conservative game and has made most of his gains by feeling his way along rather than by main force. His method is effective and has produced some good results...
