...novelty on the program was Kirk Mechem's amusing Rules for Behavior (1955). Effectively written, it shows much the same style and spirit as Irving Fine's Alice in Wonderland music. The concert ended with Vaughan William's hearty Let All the World in Every Corner Sing, which wanted only a more robust accompaniment...
Students at Tanglewood this weekend--the next to last one of the season--will have the chance to hear works by Barraud, Falla, Ravel, and Stravinsky on Friday and by Moevs, Mozart, and Prokofieff Saturday evening.
