Dartmouth failed to advance the ball when it was brought out by rushing, so it was kicked, and Harvard secured it. Lake made a very pretty run of 30 yards, and then another of 25 yards, the fine blocking of Cumrock aiding him materially. Dartmouth began well when the ball was put in play, Norton carrying it some distance into the Harvard territory; he could not keep it up, however, and the ball came to Harvard on four downs. The ball was given to Corbett, but he was almost immediately tackled; he succeeded in passing the ball to Trofford, however, and he carried it ahead 20 yards.
