On a fast end run Corbett made 20 yards before he fumbled. Yale recovered the ball on her own 45-yard line. Field made 11 yards on the next play, but the ball was called back as a 15-yard penalty for holding was imposed. Daly, on the next play, however, made first down by a pretty 20-yard run.
