The Young Democrats' report fails to mention that present Trailways porters sought advancement but were put off by the Trailways management while outside whites were hired. The case of the one porter who finally was allowed to take an "advancement" test and then was fired is but one of many incidents; failure to file a formal charge with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination hardly should be equated with lack of discrimination...

Naturally we in CORE are disappointed that the Young Democrats' report found no proof of discrimination at Trailways; we believe that such a finding is in error and that the facts amply justify our charges.
