FROM the games that have been played it is difficult to form a correct judgment about the Nine, Wednesday's game with the Beacons being such an improvement on the disgraceful exhibitions at New Bedford and Boston. The weakest point seems to be the batting, only one base-hit being made in the whole game, and many of the men seeming to be surprised into striking.
