During the winter the question of extending the library hours from five, till, say, nine in the evening, was considerably agitated by the students. What actually happened was a shortening of the hours to correspond with the shortening of the days, the obvious reason being to save the cost of lighting the building. Now that the days have grown longer, such a reason for closing early cannot exist. Would it not be well to keep the library open every day until, at least, sunset ?
