Usage:

Nobody believes the present system will last, not even senior government officials and the regime's own political police. This mentality causes officials, from the senior clergy down to the Islamic militiamen, to be corrupt. Everyone is trying to make as much as possible within the shortest time in order to escape before the day of reckoning. Everything is for sale. Any arrest, court order or verdict is negotiable.
