From a few of the voluminous registration statements filed in the past few months, the Securities & Exchange Commission last week dished up a list of notable 1934 salaries. Biggest raises went to the crack executives of National Distillers Products Corp. President Seton Porter's annual salary was upped from $51,000 to $75,000. Most of the vice presidents were boosted, including Daniel K. Weiskopf who was jumped from $15,640 to $47,286. Even Secretary & Treasurer Thomas A. Clark was raised from...
...clarioned the Party newsorgan Izvestia, lapsing by a slip into pious language. Undistinguished dancers can frolic in a burlesque like Alma Mater. But earlier in the same evening a more conventional and exacting Mozartiana made it apparent that a year is not long enough to build up a technic comparable to that of the long-trained Russians...
...Equally important, from an operating standpoint, is the L. & N. fight with Federal Coordinator Joseph Bartlett Eastman which President Hill inherited. Fortnight ago three Federal judges in Chicago found against L.& N. in its effort to switch crack Florida-Chicago trains from debt-ridden Chicago & Eastern Illinois to New York Central's "Big Four." To the U. S. Supreme Court L. & N. may appeal the court's decision upholding Mr. Eastman...
