After cheering every man on the team, "three big ones" were given for Arthur Cumnock and Perry Trafford. The substitutes, the captain of the second eleven, J. H. Sears, Cranston, Crosby and Dr. Conant were all cheered vociferously; and as the barges drove off, the crowd, led by K. Fairbank L. S., sent after them cheer after cheer for Harvard. ...November 12, the Saturday before the Yale game, has unfortunately had to be cancelled. The game would have been a remarkable one as the Manhatten team is composed of such men as Donnelly and Janeway. It is for this very reason that Captain Trafford, Dr. Conant, Mr. Lathrop, Cumnock, Cranston and the rest of the coaches decided that the game would have to be cancelled. The experience with the Chicago team shows that after a big game the work of the eleven is slow and lifeless. The nerves of the men seem to get wrought up to meet the crisis...
