Singles losers in straight sets for the varsity were Gravem, Harris, Captain John Rauh, Alex Haegler, Mann, and Don Spencer, in that order. Gravem was beaten by Bill Cranston, 6-1, 6-2, in the first singles. Haegler pulled a muscle early in his match against Dave Seifer.
