Blade: Trinity, to its credit, is easily understandable, and has no pretensions of grandeur. In contrast to other vampire movies it is particularly understated and director David Goyer (the writer of the first two films) keeps Blade going at a quick, clipped pace. It is a product of its genre, the comic-book movie, and in that sense it accomplishes its goals. It is action-packed. It involves copious explanations of weapon use. And it features a truly haunting sequence set at a vampire blood-bank that finally has the guts to honestly address America’s burgeoning homeless...

...aims to prevent homelessness by providing aid in the form of generous loans to “people in tough financial circumstances, with no access to loans from banks, and [who] have bad credit history,” says Chou. In addition to offering loans worth one or two months’ rent to people in danger of eviction, according to Chou, HOP also aids those already homeless to get back on their feet by “provid[ing] money to people in homeless shelters for help with housing...

Lyrically, Doom’s leitmotif is, well, food. All the track names are culinary, and food metaphors are frequent in his intricately (some would say randomly) internally rhymed flows. What this fixation means depends on how much credit you give him. It could either be a simple, nonsensical way of unifying the album, showing that he can rap about absolutely anything, or it could be a comment on the state of hip-hop. With radio rap big on adolescent lyrics of sex and violence, is a Sesame Street-sampling song about cookies an attempt at out-immaturing Juvenile...

...terms of dance, I feel that student groups are very strong and are becoming more prominent. While the Dance Program does offer a few credit courses, I think the strength of the dance program at Harvard is based on the fact that it is predominantly extracurricular. As a result, students involved in dance are enthusiastic about what they do because they independently choose to spend their free time in the studios...

...places. Regions of India, for example, can be far riskier for students than neighborhoods in Beirut or Sanaa. The border of Lebanon and Israel is not a safe place for Harvard students to travel to, but neither is the border of India and Pakistan. Yet students can still receive credit and/or funding for travel to India; while those seeking the College’s support for experiences in Lebanon are completely out of luck. State Department travel warnings are notorious for overstating danger and eschewing intra-country regional distinctions in favor of painting the bleakest picture possible. Harvard College?...
