...beliefs to be enforced on others, I want politicians to pass laws based on their moral convictions, which are often tied to their religious beliefs. Hence I cannot agree with my secular friends that any mention of religion should be omitted from policy debates, especially when referring to a creed shared across religions, such as the need for society to care for the poor...
