Yesterday morning at 10.30 o'clock the eight, together with Coach Wray, Dr. Manahan, and Morgan and Wiggins as substitutes, arrived at Ithaca. They were met by Manager F. Miller of the Cornell crew, and J. P. Dods, number 2, with whom they proceeded direct to the New Ithaca Hotel. Tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock the University crew will race Cornell on Lake Cayuga. If there is too high a wind at that hour the race will be postponed until the wind subsides. The referee will be F. S. Bangs of Columbia, who officiated at the Harvard Cornell race here on the Charles river last year...

President Eliot left Cambridge last night for Cornell University, Ithaca, where he will deliver, today, the annual Phi Beta Kappa address on the subject "Academic Freedom."
