Four of the graded crews were on the river yesterday, practicing for the graded crew race to be held a week from tomorrow, weather permitting, over the one and seven-eighths mile course in the basin. The work at both boat clubs has been handicapped by the irregularity of attendance, but Coaches Vail and Stephenson have corrected most of the individual faults and from now on attention will be centred in developing a clean, effective stroke. Both the first crews are rowing in good form, and will doubtless furnish a close race next week...
