Article V, section 3, of the Rules Governing Athletic Sports at Harvard contains the following provision: "Such substitutes on the baseball and football teams, or crew, as shall be designated by the captain of the team or crew, and approved by the Graduate Treasurer, may use the letters H.A.A." Preliminary arrangements for the University crew schedule include an innovation in the form of a training trip to Annapolis during the week of the spring vacation for both the first and second crews, with races against the Naval Academy crews at the end of the week. While an undergraduate in the University, Mr. Trafford was the most prominent member of his class, being class president throughout the four years and First Marshal on Class Day.
