Today is one of very unusual activity among the different athletic teams. The University nine, the track, cricket, and lacrosse teams, the junior and the freshman nines all have games, while the fencing club has a match with Columbia, and the Whist Club settles its tournament with Yale. Of all these, the annual University track athletic games on Holmes Field will have a monopoly of the interest in Cambridge. ...candidates for the cricket eleven have been practicing since the end of last week on Soldier's Field, in front of the Athletic Building. As the first match next Saturday with Lowell is a very important one, it is hoped that all the old men will come out immediately. The men of last year's eleven now playing are Clark, Richardson, Adams, Dupont, Matthews and Byrd. Among the other candidates are H. Scott '98, E. V. Dexter '97, W. W. Comfort '95, W. A.
