Harvard 148; Longwood 61.The Harvard cricket eleven won their third match at Longwood on Saturday. The match was marked by good batting and sharp fielding on the part of Harvard. Brown batted heavily for 62 runs, and his bowling was very effective. Skinner and Frost also batted very steadily. An additional interest was given to the match by the adoption of the American plan, under which Harvard is to play her intercollegiate matches. ...cricket eleven deserve great praise for their decisive victory over Longwood on Saturday. The Longwood team holds the championship of New England, and last year did not suffer a single defeat. Not since 1887 has Harvard won a game from them. Saturday's match, however, showed that the Harvard eleven have made a great improvement over last year's playing, and have improved since the beginning of this season, especially in fielding.
