Lindsay doesn't assault you with his lyrics; there's no screaming into the microphone or straining to reach the high notes. You must reach for the words, straining to find your own meaning in the often-cryptic songs, which drop references to everything from the Brazilian Carnival to the movie The Matrix. The poetry of the lyrics seems to take a back seat to the rhythmic music itself, which is beautifully composed and consistently interesting...

Zackheim does manage to eliminate a number of women as possible Lieserls, including a melodramatic Berlin actress who claimed in the 1930s to be Einstein's daughter. Zackheim's final conclusions, however--based on little more than inferences from a cryptic 1903 letter from Einstein to Mileva ("I am very sorry about what has happened to Lieserl. Scarlet fever often leaves some lasting trace behind") and vague comments about idiocy in the family by an elderly Maric descendant in the Serbian town of Kac--remain conjectural at best...

...buzz about the new game - which will be known as American McGee's Alice, after the game's creator - is huge, and that's exactly what Electronic Arts hoped for. The announcement was preceded by 13 weeks of more or less cryptic hints - music boxes, the sound of children laughing, portentous poems. Even now, little hard information has been released.
