Thanks for the informative article about Cuba and the possibility of lifting the U.S. trade embargo [WORLD, Dec. 6]. It's high time the U.S. establish full diplomatic relations and free trade with that nation. Only by free and open communications, diplomacy and trade will we encourage Cuba to inch toward democracy.
