...easily. There were two curious things about the Post's quadruple blessing of Hobby: the paper declined to take a stand on any of the other statewide contests, and it neglected to mention Hobby's position as president and executive editor of the Post. His mother, Oveta Culp Hobby, 67, also happens to own the paper and sit on its editorial board. ...Brewers, the Sox look pretty lackluster. Sure they have Yaz, but with chest pains and all, land coming off his worst season eve. All right, they have Tommy Harper, Reggie Smith, Rico Petrocelli, and a couple of decent pitchers in roger Moret, Marty Pattin, Sonny Siebert, and Ray Culp (gasp). But where will that get them? Bob and Carol think they are hip, but as the audience happily discovers, they are actually phonies and assholes. Robert Culp is a middle-aged Peter Fonda who wears beads only because he's rich enough to get away with it: Natalie Wood is one of those snotty rich girls who sends her children to progressive schools and works for McCarthy. Bob and Carol are, shall we say, effete impudent snobs...
