Month ago, the Cunard White Star liner Laurentic suffered a minor collision as she left England on a Mediterranean cruise, had to transfer her passengers to the Doric of the same line. Abruptly taken off the sailing schedule last April, the angular old four-stacker has since been held at Southampton in hopes that Italy would buy her for a troop ship.
