Yesterday the Board of Overseers acted under the rules recently adopted, and conferred degrees upon candidates. Hitherto it has been the custom to confer degrees only on Commencement Day, but under a change in the rules governing University degrees they may now be conferred in the middle of the academic year upon such candidates as are entitled to them.
