...University crew there were only three veterans in the boat, as L. Withington, who rows 5, has gone out for the football team. Cutler was in his regular seat at stroke with Waid at 7, while Newton, who stroked last year's Freshman crew, was in at 6. Metcalf, last year's Freshman eight captain and 7, filled in Withington's place at 5. Bacon was at 4 again with Whitney and Sargent at 3 and bow respectively.
