He's sincere enough to convince a Real-Man seeker, a traditional girl, a Prudence; to marry him, unless it's the speed and confusion of events which carry her to the submission point. These, plus the sharply-directed timing, carry the audience along with her through this production of Beyond Therapy. Yes, the set changes are distractingly clumsy, and the flatly acted waiter who finally shows up in the last scene is a detraction. With these problems, though, this is a play worth seeing, if only to laugh out loud...
