DALLAS—A Harvard Medical School professor is expected to be the next president of the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. The University of Texas System board of regents on Tuesday named Dr. Daniel K. Podolsky as the sole finalist for the job. The regents are expected to finalize his appointment next month. Podolsky would replace Dr. Kern Wildenthal, who has announced he will step down in September after 22 years on the job. Podolsky is a former president of the American Gastroenterological Association.
