...exploration is hardly new to Michigan. In the late 19th century, drillers flocked to the state from the crowded oilfields of Pennsylvania and Ohio, only to be lured away by far more promising discoveries in Oklahoma and Texas a few years later. But the discovery last September by Dart Energy Corp. and PPG Industries Inc. of a natural gas deposit near Falmouth that energy experts estimate will produce more than 12 million cu. ft. of gas a day has brought wildcatters streaming back...

...missiles whose accuracy Draper is working to further perfect already can be projected from this side of the planet to within 500 feet of their target on the other side. You can better picture this accuracy if you think of throwing a dart across a football field and having it land within a millimeter of its target. ...place at the wrong time. The good-guy secret agents (led by the poker-faced Marcel Bozzuffi) promise to protect Renato and Albin from the bad-guy agents so long as they help them obtain some mysterious microfilm. Molinaro treats us to more than 90 minutes of car chases, dart guns, and hair-breadth close calls, using nearly every cliche of every spy-adventure film ever made--not to create clever satiric effect, but to provide hoakey chills and thrills. As the corpses pile up, La Cage II becomes less exciting than almost surrealistically weird: watching Tognazzi and Serrault dodge...

Somehow last night's contest seemed appropriate for the farewell. Dart-mouth, missing the leading scorer in the Ivy League, Larry Lawrence, entered the building and tried to stall. With its core of nobodies, the team sank into an understandable, if ineffective, stall--like North Carolina's four corners with a man in the penalty. And the people were bored. And the players were bored. When Dartmouth scored its first point, almost seven minutes into the game, the crowd cheered lustily. The game was painted IAB green...
