HANOVER, N. H., May 9. - Dartmouth defeated Bates college this afternoon in a game characterized by heavy batting, the score being 21 to 10. Long, hard drives were in order, doubles, triples and home runs following each other in rapid succession, resulting in 17 hits with a total of 35 for Dartmouth and 14, with a total of 19 for Bates.
