Roger Davis pitched the winners to their last win before the Yale finale Saturday with a seven-hit performance. He was in complete command except for a brief Newton uprising in the sixth which produced three runs. The home team added an unearned run in the seventh.

Hal Mofile, Fred Dunn, and Fred Glimp chimed in with extra base hits while Davis was fanning 13. The winners stranded 11 men on the base paths. Dunn and Howe led the Crimson at the plate with two hits apiece.
