...reforms designed to increase confidence and bring more small investors into the Nasdaq Stock Market. Nasdaq, home to such high-tech firms as Netscape, and Microsoft, has experienced a wild growth boom as investors flock to tech stocks. But two government investigations earlier this summer turned up allegations that dealers were engaging in price-fixing by not allowing all investors news of the best prices on the electronically traded market. As a result of the investigation, Nasdaq was formally censured by the SEC and ordered to provide more oversight of dealers. The new rules require dealers to offer their customers...
...earnestly handsome automechanic Guy(Nino Castelnuovo) who ruins everything by being drafted. Before leaving for Algeria, he somewhat deviously impregnates her, perhaps to be sure she'll 'wait for him'. But his plan backfires when the pregnant, helpless Genvieve is married off to the rich, wolf-like diomand dealer Roland Cassard (Marc Michel). Guy, of course, is devastated, and also, in the logic of such things, returns to Cherbourg a cripple...
...smuggle in 20,000 machine-gun stands. They paid Ku and his associates $700,000 in cash and wire transfers to Beijing and Hong Kong bank accounts...

(It looks better beside the mostly marble, gargoyle-graced home he just built.) And yes, John Carmack, id's president and chief visionary, is having his own Ferrari custom built from parts. But the dress code is shorts and T shirts, as set by the ponytailed Romero, who at 28 is the eldest partner...
DETROIT STRIKES BACK Chrysler has become the most aggressive U.S. automaker in putting these retailing ideas to work. The company angered many of its dealers by giving CarMax a franchise to sell new Chryslers, Plymouths and Jeep Eagles in Norcross, Georgia, beginning next month. Chrysler is also testing a new-car dealership called MidPark Jeep-Eagle in Dallas, where the fixed-price vehicles carry discounts of $1,800 to $2,000 below the manufacturer's suggested retail price. "People appreciate a low-pressure place that offers a fair price," says MidPark co-owner Jim DeWolfe. That spreading realization could soon...
